Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, Medical Management, this position is responsible for training of all end users on AltaMed applications, which currently include the enterprise referral management system and where applicable, the EHR and claims payment system. Trainees will include employed and contracted medical directors, employed and temporary nursing staff, and coordinator staff. The position will also provide update to application training which will correlate to updated staff workflows, as directed by the medical management leadership.

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced clinical degree or equivalent highly preferred (LVN or RN or MD). At least 2 years’ experience operating in all functions of a referral management platform.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop all AltaMed-specific training materials for group and individual training sessions for the department of medical management (PowerPoint, handouts, Windows Media, etc.)
  2. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) with regard to referral management workflows for coordinators, nurses and physicians, in the department of Medical Management.
  3. Collaborate with audit team to develop audit-specific training materials for group training (includes material for medical directors, nurses and coordinator staff)
  4. Provide end-user follow up assistance and support as planned and adhoc. Escalate as necessary.
  5. Provide user and users’ supervisor timely feedback about end-users’ application knowledge and skill.
  6. Conduct follow-up end-user trainings, one-on-one or in a group as needed.
  7. Maintain regular communication with both prior auth and inpatient UM leadership such that when changes to workflows are identified, they can be integrated into training materials for current and new staff members.
  8. Provide feedback from end users and escalate to leadership with regard to systems workflow challenges.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
